Kafana Republik! Join us for our dance party tonight - Tali McGill, Michael Lawson, Steve Ramsey, Ahmad Yousefbeigi, Peter Lippman, and Flo Damian are Kafana Republik, making beautiful music for our party from 8:30 until 11:30 pm. We suggest a donation of $15 for adults, $8 for students age 14-20, and $25 for families of 3 or more. Children 13 and under are free, as always. Please see our flyer for more detail, and join us! Jana Teaches! We missed a Friday lesson in January because of snow, and Jana will teach tonight to make up for that missed lesson. The hour-long lesson begins at 7:30, and the cost is $12 per student, which includes the entire evening of social dance to recorded music.

First Annual Balkan Night Northwest: Can you believe your eyes? Look at all the amazing Balkan bands, musicians, and singers lined up for a full afternoon and evening musical extravaganza on two stages! Same place, but different day of the week, this event is happening on Saturday, March 10th at the Russian Community Center, starting at 4 pm, and for all this great music and dance, we suggest a donation of only $15. Look at our flyer to see all the amazing folks coming, and more details. Dromeno, Bucharest Drinking Team, Dunava, Sinovi, to name only a handful... just about every Balkan music artist you can think of. It just doesn't stop! | Fridays when there is no live music: |
The Russian Community Center is located at 704 19th Ave E, Seattle, WA 98112 MAP Join us for social dancing from 8:30 to11:00 for primarily Balkan dancing which are typically non-partner dances from countries such as Bulgaria, Greece, Macedonia, Turkey, Serbia, Croatia, Romania, and Albania. An occasional dance from other countries may be played as well. The early part of the evening will have mostly easy and basic dances that everyone can participate in regardless of prior experience. Please request dances that you like from the over 2000 tunes we have available. The suggested donation is $5 per night. If you can pay more please help by doing so. Here is a flyer with a map for you and your friends! There will usually be dance instruction from 7:30 to 8:30, which may have an additional charge. There will not be dance instruction when there is a band and for some special events. Please check here often or subscribe to the weekly informational emails.
