Purpose: To promote, preserve and teach participatory Balkan dancing and related arts in the Greater Puget Sound area.
Every Friday night, join us for Balkan folk dancing. Since 95% of our dances are line or circle dances, you don't have to bring a partner. Usually, the music is played from recordings, and you may request dances from our extensive library of music. Sometimes we have live music by local or touring bands. Special instructional workshops with professional teachers are occasionally scheduled. Please check the Events calendar for the currently scheduled events. You may Subscribe to the weekly email at any time, to receive the entire calendar each week.
During the first 60 - 90 minutes, there are easy dances that you can learn quickly. We have over 2000 dance tunes available and a catalog of them for you to request from. Children are welcome. There is no child care provided, but there are usually other children for your child to play with if they don't want to dance.
